At AFF, our commitment to community engagement and development is at the heart of everything we do. One of the ways we bring this to life is through our annual AFF Summer Camp, a program designed to equip young minds with valuable skills, foster creativity, and prepare them for the future.
The 2024 edition of the camp was an extraordinary success, leaving a lasting impact on over 100 young participants by equipping them with essential tech skills that are shaping the world today.
The 16-week program provided a comprehensive learning experience for the ten participating startups. The curriculum included courses on topics like business development, marketing, fundraising, and product development. Renowned trainers guided participants through these critical areas, equipping them with the tools they need to navigate the entrepreneurial landscape. Beyond the core curriculum, the program offered workshops on design thinking, user experience (UX) optimization, and legal considerations for startups.
AFF Summer Camp 2024: A Focus on Tech Skills
The Power of Tech Skills
The world is increasingly digital, and equipping young people with the right skills prepares them for a tech-driven future.
Graphics Design & Video Editing: These skills allowed kids to express their creativity, learn visual storytelling, and gain hands-on experience with digital tools used in media, branding, and content creation. Several students even created their first digital art and short video projects—a testament to their newfound abilities!
Artificial Intelligence (AI): AI is transforming industries, and exposing young minds to AI concepts early builds problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and innovation. Participants learned the basics of AI, from machine learning to automation, and even experimented with some applications.
These skills are not just future-proof—they are life-changing for young learners, providing them with knowledge that can be applied in education, entrepreneurship, and career development.
